XL Touring Bikes:

Surly cross check 64 cm

The Cross check is one of the most beautiful touring bikes . this is a chromoly frame that comes with a 8 x 3 shimano Acera transmission, Tektro canti levers , steel front and back racks and 700 c wheels.

Very confortable bike  for anyone who is truly tall !! Carmel ( the guy in the picture) stands over 2.05 mts , I would say that you will be fine if you are over 1.95 mts.

Pierre 's Trek 7100 60 cm , 700c wheels

this a great aluminium touring bike its light and versatile , its very confortable for someone between 1.85 mts to 1.95 mts 

It comes with a shimano 3x8 transmission and aluminium back and front racks.

this bike was rented by Pierre , a french mountain climber who after making a summit on Mount Aconcagua , decided to give a chance to touring by bicycle, he felt deeply in love with what he saw and decided that his climbing days where over.. Pierre is doing the panamerican highway starting in Alaska.

Oxford emerald 60 cm 26 ¨ wheels

we just finished restoring this bike , that honestly .. seems like no one had ever used it before!

this bikes where sold , here in Chile as oxford back in 1992 , but this frames where made by Nishiki and Miyata.

It comes with shimano lx 3 x 7 transmission , cantilever brakes, a long stem that will allow to ride with the most confortable position. you can lay your panniers on this back and front racks.

I would say that this bike is ok for some one standing between 1.83 mts and 1.90 mts .

Large size touring bikes are between 56 and 58 cm frames meant for cylist who stand between 1.82 and 1.90 mts

Fahrrat Manufaktur 58 cm 26 ¨

This one of the best touring bikes that you can buy. Its a german Chromoly frame with a very confortable ride . It comes with 3 x 8 shimano transmission , Zefal back and front racks 3 bottle holders and a butterfly handlebars . Before you take this bike I will ask you about your size first , because I would only recomend the butterfly bars only if you feel the bike its a bit too big you .I

I would recomend this bike to some one between 1.85 and 1.95 mts.

Rocky Mountain Alaska size l  700 wheels

This bike is a little different if compared to the bikes we usually work with . why because it has the new type of geometry , its light and it has disc brakes ! 

this bike came with his sister who happens to be a M size and with their former owners , they crossed Canada and Alaska!! I guess that after running away from the bears they came to Chile and ended up in my shop. This bikes still keep the stickers from their adventures in North America.

This bikes comes with shimano 3 x 8 transmission and front /back aluminum racks.

I would say this bike its for someone between 1.78 mts and 1.83 mts

Gt timberline size l 26 ¨

This one of our favorite bikes , its been with us for years , one of the most trusted bikes , that I ve seen. We recently changed and upgraded a lot of her parts . It has a 3 x 7 shimano lx transmission back and front aluminium racks.

This bikes has a very confortable geometry on a Chromoly steel frame . It will be a great bike for somene  from 1.78 mts to 1.85 mts

Gt Continium 23¨drop bars

This a fantastic part of the hibrid/mtb/touring bike history!

For some reason gt made a couple of hibrid/touring bikes models at around 1990 . Comercialy they did bad , on of the reason was the 26 x 1 1/8 that wasnt very popular back then , so it was pretty hard findings  spare tubes , rims and tires ..and guess what? jejej today those numbers mean today's popular 27.5!! in this case we put some 700 wheels , that makes it look a lot better.

It comes with a 3x8 transmission made by microshift and shimano, The shifters go at the drop bars ends , but on a way that they wont wont go down , when you hit it with your knees. they work great and its the perfect bike for someone that stands between 1.83 to 1.90 mts and maybe a bit taller. Not very good on gravel.

This our mistery bike!! 

At size 58 with 700 wheels , it makes a fantastic bicycle . mounted on a very fine chromoly steel frame , it has shimano lx 3x9 transmission and aluminium racks . 

I bought this baby from someone who hosted a european bicycle traveller who let him have his destroyed bike . we took a bout a year to restore it and to give it a new life .

this will be a great bike for a 1.85 to 1.90 cyclist .

not to good on gravel.

This a 1980s chromoly steel mtb that was meant for touring , it has some beautiful details and a very confortable ride. we customized the stem (not pictured) so its even better now!!

it was build up with a 8x3 suntour transmission and cantilever/u brakes a great bike for some one between 1.70mts and 1.78 mts.

Miyata Sand 18 ¨ 26 wheels

beautiful chromoly steel frame painted as sand or safari color , makes it one of our customer`s favorite bikes .

It comes with a 3x8 shimano transmission and friccion shifters, long stem , that makes this a very confortable and nice looking bike 

This bike will be greate for some one stands between 1.70 mts and 1.78 mts more or less.

I bought this bike from a English guy , who traveled extensily on it.

talking about someone lost.. when I bought it had a mix of crap parts and bmx bars but 

its a custom made chromoly steel tubing  frame , that I end up building with a shimano lx 3x9 transmission and steel front and back racks .It has a long stem and makes it a great touring bike.

I would say , this bikes works great for someone who stands between 1.65 and 1.75 mts.

Trek 750 21¨700c wheels

This is fantastic randonneur type of bike .It comes with a 3x8 shimano transmission , cantilevers and drop bars.

This a very nice bike meant for someone between 1.74 and 1.80 I would t take on a gravel road .

Nishiki size 20¨26¨wheels

This is the bike that started It all !!

this was my personal bike and with her I started my bike shop ,going to people´s houses to pick their bikes and then droping them off . After that this was the first bike I ever rented out and It has been on carretera Austral way to many times . Of course we have done services and up grades and by now , probably the only original component is the frame and fork.

It has a shimano 3x8 transmission and aluminium front and back racks.

Cannondale m200 18¨26 ¨wheels

a very confortable touring bike , with a  very confortable geometry and great components . this a very light aluminium frame with 3 x 9 shimano deore components . I would recomend this bike for altitud expeditions .

This is the right bike for some one between 1.70 mts and 1.75 mts 

Small size touring bikes for cyclist between 1.55 mts and  1.70 mts 

Carriza `s Miyata 16 ¨26¨wheels

This is the bike that took Carriza on a long journey thru the south of Chile completing the carretera austral .As a solo traveler Carriza learned the skills of working on a bike and this bike turned to be her best friend during those months. It`s a modified Miyata with a 3x7 shimano transmission , a long stem lets this bike have a very confortable ride .

This bike would fine some some one between 1.55 mts to 1.65 mts

KHS size s 700 c wheels

This a very nice bike that was build up with shimano and sun rice components . it has a very smooth ride on a chromoly steel frame . it comes with a new aluminium rack (not pictured) in the back and a steel rack in the front and butterfly bars .

this bike works well for some one between 1.55 mts and 1.70 mts
